What is RedZone?
RedZone is the School Spirit Committee of St. John’s Student Government. We appear at all sporting events and host giveaways for the student body. RedZone also helps with the planning of Tip-Off and many other events on campus.
How do I become a part of RedZone?
Every St. John’s student is a general body member of RedZone! All students are welcome to attend any and all of our events on campus. To be a member of the Executive Board of RedZone, there is an application to fill out at the end of the Spring Semester and an interview process with Student Government.
What sports does RedZone support?
All of them! RedZone is present at every St. John’s sporting event. The student sections are located behind the baskets in Carnesecca Arena and MSG and behind the opposing team’s goal at Belson Stadium.
What kind of events does RedZone do?
RedZone hosts many events before, during and after games. These events include Red Storm rally pre-games with food and activities. We also provide free shuttles to MSG games and do special road trips throughout the year. During games we give out custom RedZone merchandise, including t-shirts, quarter zips and other great items.
How can I get tickets to on-campus games?
On-campus games are free for students! While it won’t cost you anything, you still need to make sure you get a ticket! Tickets can be picked up before a game at the box office by showing your StormCard.
How can I get tickets to MSG games?
Students can purchase student tickets for games at MSG two ways: a discounted student season ticket plan or buying tickets at the door the day of.
What is Tip-Off?
Tip-Off is the start to our basketball season! We meet our basketball teams for the first time and watch scrimmages and shooting contests. There are many giveaways and a concert from a famous artist at the end. Student season ticket holders receive their priority Tip-Off tickets before the day of the event, students without a season ticket plan can pick their ticket up for free the day of the event.
